Dura-Bar’s proven quality is backed by several industry certifications and standards. We constantly strive to meet and exceed our customer’s requirements for performance and productivity.

ISO 9001

Quality assurance is a way of life at Dura-Bar. In essence, all employees are in Quality Assurance in the company. Our product is recognized as the leader in consistent production and delivery of quality continuous cast iron. Dura-Bar’s commitment to quality starts with a process registered by UL DQS Inc. to ISO 9001.

NACE Compliance

Dura-Bar 65-45-12 ductile iron fully annealed to 60-40-18 is compliant with the NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) standard. The NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) standard is lengthy, but one key sentence states that ductile iron must be fully annealed. Annealing is a process that removes pearlite, thereby eliminating the slight chance of internal oxidation.

Pressure Rating

Dura-Bar was independently tested to determine its pressuring rated to 6,500psi and conformance to NFPA/T2.6.1 R2-2000, making it beneficial for applications in compact and complex hydraulic systems. Until recently, pressure ratings for hydraulic manifolds made from ductile iron were based on book values and conservative theoretical calculations, making design engineers reluctant to specify it in lieu of steel for applications involving more than 5,000psi.
